Pole Ice Have No More !!
The researchers predicted that the Arctic Sea (poles) will be ice-free in summer within the next decade. After the spring passed, the researchers again measured the thickness of the ice along the 450 kilometer route across the Beaufort Sea. They found most of the ice is very thin.
Expedition leader and expert on sea ice from the University of Cambridge, Peter Wadhams, said in the spring of last year's average ice thickness of only 1.8 meters, indicating the age of the layer was about a year. Meanwhile, the ice that had for years about 3 meters.
Thin layer becomes an important indication of poor ice conditions in the Arctic Sea. "Simply put, it's thin ice will disappear in the blink of an ice began to melt season," he said. Wind and ocean currents may also break the thin ice. Ice is broken and the free float will be easily pushed into warmer waters and melting. Catlin Arctic Survey and the international conservation group WWF supports these findings.
Situation in the Arctic ice is highly influenced climate and natural conditions. Arctic Sea ice conditions are often associated with climate change and global warming.
