Evidently, the First New Chicken Eggs !!
Among the classic puzzle first egg or chicken may be missed by the first nest of dinosaur fossil discovery in Canada. In nests made 77 million years ago is still as vivid set of five eggs used.
"The characteristics of the nest is similar to a bird's nest," said Francois Therrein, one of the Royal Tyrell Museum paleontologist Alberta, Canada. This means that the first dinosaurs to make the nest as a place to incubate their eggs before the birds do. During this time, some experts still assume that the evolution of birds evolved from dinosaurs.
The size of the nest about two feet in diameter and estimated to have weighed 50 pounds. In it there are at least 12 former egg shells, each measuring 12 centimeters long and well-organized and on point.
"Based on the shape of eggs and nest, we believe the nest is made of a caenagnathid or a small raptor, both meat-eaters alike and have a close kinship with the birds," said Darla Zelenetsky, other researchers from the University of Calgary, Canada.
Zelenetsky learned since kept in Canada Fossil Limited Calgary in the 1990s. Before that he thought it made a nest of fossilized dinosaur duck-billed herbivores. However, after studying more carefully, it is known that the nest is likely that a group of theropod ancestors of birds.
